3 Combo Meals Loved by Your Little Trick-or-Treaters – and the Patient Adults That Travel With Them

By Kansas City Steak Company

Dusk is settling into night. Your house smells of nutmeg and cinnamon. You have your oblong Monax bowl filled to the brim with an assortment of chocolates in multi-colored wrappers. Now, your kids scamper down the hall dressed as baseball players, princesses, cowboys, and fairies. And you wish them well as they wander out into the night, unaccompanied, to safely trick-or-treat.

Ahhhh, another traditional Halloween. It’s like this every year, isn’t it?

Nah! Halloween has quite a bit more spunk these days. The kids are more likely dressed as Spiderman and you probably see as many robot princesses as Disney princesses. Not to mention the Halloween get-togethers, trunk or treating, and other activities that all serve as precursors to Halloween night, which can make the calm at-home pre-trick-or-treat meal all the more difficult to pull off.

It’s a pretty important meal, though.

The amount of candy that ends up in your kiddos’ bellies is largely dependent on what nutritional items you can get in there first, making an attractive and filling Halloween supper all the more important. And, don’t forget the adult that is going to spend the next 3 to 5 hours standing in the cold while kids beg for candy also deserves a meal that gives them the strength and patience to calmly walk from house-to-house-to-house-to-house…while carrying the excess bags of candy that they are “not allowed to eat.”

So, we’ve put together our list of Halloween pre-trick-or-treating meals for the whole fam – and maybe the neighbors, if they’re lucky.

The Family Dinner: This combo pack comes with 6 Super Trimmed™ Filet Mignon, 8 Classic Steakburgers, and 2 Bags of Kansas City Steak Fries. This will have your little ones filled with burgers and spuds and the adults satisfied with our famous butter-tender filets.

Family Favorites Variety Pack: If you have a bigger family or you are joining forces with your neighbors for the night’s festivities, try this pack of 4 Beef Top Sirloin Steaks, 4 Boneless Chicken Breasts, 16 Classic Steakburgers, 16 All-beef Jumbo Hot Dogs, and 4 Twice Baked Potatoes with Cheddar and Bacon.  This should satiate the little minions and satisfy the patient mamas and papas.

Mealtime Medley: Prefer a variety of meats? This new combo includes 6 Boneless Pork Chops with Hickory Bacon, 4 Beef Top Sirloin Steaks, 4 Boneless Chicken Breasts, 1 Mac and Cheese Casserole, and 1 New York Style Cheesecake. It’s all the meats to meet your Halloween head on.

Happy trick-or-treating!
